Seeing your student succeed

We know that as a parent, you want to give your child every opportunity to succeed.

Nebraska Leadership Seminar is here to help empower your child to reach their full potential. If selected to attend NLS, your child will join an elite group of business leaders, entrepreneurs and community members who have completed Nebraska Leadership Seminar (NLS).

What is NLS?

Founded in 1978, Nebraska Leadership Seminar, Inc. (NLS) is a nonprofit organization focused upon helping students recognize their leadership strengths through a partnership with the Gallup Organization. Each year, NLS hosts a four-day seminar for high school sophomores to challenge, empower and inspire them to become the leaders Nebraska needs.

More than 6,000 students from over 300 school districts across Nebraska have attended NLS seminars.

How can I send my student to NLS?

Contact your school’s guidance counselor and ask what your child needs to do to be a part of the selection process. Many schools ask students to complete an application or submit an essay.

If your counselor is unfamiliar with NLS, please contact Allison Sperry, Recruitment Director, at asperry@nebraskaleadership.org. She will reach out and make sure your counselor receives all the information needed to get your child registered for NLS.

Visit our Registration page for more information.

My student is registered, now what?

Congratulations! We hope you will be able to join us for the Closing Banquet on the last day of seminar (Sunday) to celebrate your child’s achievement. More information about the seminar will be posted in the coming months, so be sure to watch your email.
